15-22 Hard Case

The 108361 is the number listed on Plano's website, not sure about the other number. The first case I ordered showed a yellow handle in the description pic but the one that arrived was black.
If you want to make a custom hard case the possibilities are endless, like this slick soft case that inspired me to duplicate it. Multiple seperate pieces of foam unrequired for either hard or soft case.

Not to be disrespectful but I am not trying to pad my gun or alter its appearence in the case. Also the foam you have pictured is open cell foam which will deterorate over time with exposure to oils. Worst then that it will pull oils from your gun since its open cell foam meaning long tern storage could be a problem, not as big a concern with a polymer gun. In a year or even 3 you may be fine but Im talking a one and done true custom cut hard case. Look around for custom cut closed cell foam rifle cases what some do is pure art work. Its a definit skill that puts the look of the case to something youw ould see in a movie or in possibly my closet. ;)

Saw this the other day... Seems to fit your bill just fine. Comes with or without foam. Lockable and has wheels. Still less expensive than a pelican I think.

Gun Carrying Case KR10 Series for 36" long guns by CaseCruzer

We get that you don't like open cell foam because you are going to use the case for long term storage.

You asked why other like myself use open cell. Cost, flexibility, and we aren't likely to be worried about long term storage. Add some moisture bags and it shouldn't be an issue.

Given that there aren't a whole lot of reviews bashing open cell foam for gun cases, except for long term storage perhaps close cell is overhyped. Kinda like paying for bottled water and getting LA tap water. To each their own!

Cheers and best of luck!
