15-22 rear sight - for 22lr or 223?

anyone know if the rear sight on the 15-22 is made specifically for the 22lr or if it was just a drop on from AR15 parts.

i was needing a rear sight for another AR (223) and before I go through the sighting in process, figured I'd ask the question.

I'd like to use the range adjustment feature on the rifle. (6/3 or 8/3...and go from there)

It is for .223 and even have "Z" for zeroing at 25m. which I use to sighting in my 15-22 as well.

Front sight is a typical A2 with 4 slots.
