I get asked alot about zeroing a scope or red dot optic.

I see guys wasting lots of ammo trying to get that "zero".

Here's a little tip. If you already know this trick feel free to move on.

At 25 yards take a dead aim at a center bullseye. Lets say your point of impact is 8" high and 6" left.

Keep the rifle pointed at bullseye and simply adjust your "windage" and "elevation" knobs until you bring the cross hairs directly over the point of impact.

Whaa Laa! You have achieved zero using just 1 round. :D

Now take all that money you just saved on ammo and have a beer on me!

Stay safe out there and God bless.

Yep. Here's where the bullet is going to go. All I have to do is tell my scope about it!

Super easy, line the dot up with the iron sights. Put the dot just above the front post with the dot just touching the tip of the post

Oldie but a goodie. It is always worth repeating for new shooters. Thanks!

You can do it that way if you don't know your scope or how to measure. Not exactly the right way to do it but if it works for you then great. It's the grouping you want centered unless you have a rifle that shoots .0000001 moa and ammo that does the same.
