15-22 Short 10 rd. Magazines

All I can say is make your own it takes less than a half hour. Why wait? I have a few thousand rounds through mine without a hiccup. I think I'm going to cut my other mag down also. Cut the mag., do a bit of trimming, cut the spring to 8",epoxy the base plate on and your good to go. I don't even use the long mag. anymore.

Short Mags

Skidder: "I don't even use the long mag. anymore."

If that's true Bob... You're the only one in America who is happy to be down sized! ;)

Glad to hear your cut-down mag is still running strong!

Mine are getting mad -- as it's now the boating & fishing season, and my 15-22 hasn't gone to the range in a month?!?!? or so..........................

( Yeah, way too long... )

Most definitely . . . However, I ordered the short mags 9 days prior to picking up my 15-22. I'll give S&W another week and see if the order comes through. Depending on what S&W tells me, I may opt to purchase the extra standard mags and cut them down. Hopefully, it will not come to that.

Old #7 thanks to your mag. mod I've shot well over 6000 rounds (600 yesterday)with 3/4 of them through the shortened mag. and no problems. I'm on 20 days vacation right now but if I was at work I would be cutting my other mag. down. And thanks again for the spring.

S&W just charged my Credit Card.

Just wanted to say S&W just charged my credit card for the four 10rd short mags that I ordered over a month ago. Hope that means they are shipping soon!!! Will post if I see them in the mail.

That makes 2 members who've had their CC's charged for these mags. Wonder what's going on.

One would hope they might actually have a manufactured product ready to ship. Though, they may just be raising legal defense fund cash for Sales VP?

Make that 3. Just checked and they billed my CC yesterday. I ordered on the day they first appeared on their site.

LOL . . . Very funny. If they send me my mags, I'll toss in an extra buck for the said fund.

Yes!!!! I hope that the mags are on their way. The mail man and UPS did not have anything special, today.

Ct to Ca takes awhile ;)

I'm a mail carrier and it should only take 3 days to ship coast to coast if priority mail is used. Not unless the truck broke down and the driver started walking with the mail so it won't be delayed

Oh and make it 6 customers that have been charged for the mags

Mags are here!!!!

Yes!!! . . . I just received my 5 short 10 round mags from S&W. They came in today's mail. They look great and have been exactly what I was wanting for shooting from a benchrest.

I like the load assist buttons on them. Now, I will not need to reach for the screw driver when I load the mag. It was worth the wait. :D

I wish the new mags would at least look cool, They are too square for me. I 'll just keep cuttin' down the longer ones, I like the curved look in the mag.

I also made my own load assist button .

10-32 x 3/4" Button Head Socket Cap screw, cut down a couple of threads. With a machine screw nut on the other side, I think I am going to try a nylon insert jam locknut instead with the full 3/4" length. It will lock down without having to tighten all the way to the plastic on the mag. As of right now it will fit in the magazine well without any problems, just want to get out and shoot it , see how it works.

Wonders never cease.... 10rd mag arrived today.:)

ps. IMO, OldNo7 short mags look A LOT better on the rifle than S&W.

I'm with boltman and Old#7 I like the curved look and will continue to cut and make my own. Good luck to the rest of you all though at least your getting the products you ordered.

Well, for those who like the curved ones I'd be more than happy to trade mine off for one of the new shorty 10-rounders. :D

*makes quick plans to try and shmooze the hubby to let her get some of these shorty mags for her own before they sell out..*
