I got my 15-22 barrel threaded today and had the pleasure of meeting Belt_Fed. If anyone is interested in having their barrel threaded I highly recommend you speak to him (Brett). You'll be glad you did.

Check out these pics. Awesome work! In addition, Belt_Fed's shrouds weren't yet ready so he whipped up this to tide me over!

Does threading the barrel affect accuracy? What about the type of flash hider? Just curious. Thanks.

threading if done right has no effect on accu. but any weight you add according to hatchers hand book( the militaries go to guy for nearly 50 years) reduces N.V.H. and therefore increases accu. not to mention its tacticool:cool:

noise vibration harshness (sp?) basily when a gun is fired the barrel whips any time u add weight to the end it dampens this whip... making the rifle more "repeatable"... adding alittle weight to the end also helps the shooter stablize the gun while shooting free hand

Thanks for the info. Learn something everyday.

Nice job threading that barrel Belt Fed. If I would have known you do that I would have looked you up but i've already sent out my barrel. Again, sweet job and i'm sure more members will be looking your way.

Chattanooga, I have the same pro-point you have, and want to mount it on my 15-22. Did you replace the scope rings to fit the riser or did you find a riser that fit the original rings?
