I know this has been brought up many times but I would like to tell you about my experience and what you all would suggest.

The first time bringing the gun to the range, it cycled 1 magazine with no problems and the 2nd magazine gave me issues. It would fire one shell but wouldn't fire the second unless I cycled another shell in with the charging handle. When I got home I realized that the pins were walking out and that had to be my problem. I purchased anti-walk pins and took it to the range the other day. I was able to cycle through a few magazines but it was hard to do any kind of rapid fire because of the trigger reset. The reset is way to long and makes a loud clunk when it finally resets. Just not ideal at all and doesn't make it fun to shoot.

I took the trigger assembly apart and cleaned it up and lightly lubed but it still is slow and clunky. Long story short I tried polishing disconnector and hammer and I ended up polishing too much and now it doesn't reset at all, it just engages the hammer when letting off the trigger.

I pretty much had my mind set on a CMC trigger anyways so this didnt really bother me. However, Im not sure I want to spend $160 on a trigger assembly when I paid $300 for the gun. Are there trigger assembly's around the $70 that are better then the original? Or should I just pony up the cash for a CMC?

Thanks for any help guys...

Matt

This is a place where you get what you pay for. I have ~$250 Geissele triggers in my 15-22s along with their longer Colt 901 trigger and hammer pins. The 15-22 uses a common AR-15 trigger group so you aren't stuck with a trigger you can only use in a 15-22. You can use it in any AR-15 you may have or get.

Buy good stuff and it doesn't end up discarded in a parts box.

Tomcatt51 is correct,

I have a Hiperfire 24C in mine and it is fantastic...never scrimp on a trigger or optics...buy something that you know is quality and it will last you a lifetime :)

Just got a CMC drop in (Part#91501) for $140 shipped. Pretty excited to try it out, Ill update this thread once I test it out.

I put an ALG combat trigger group in my 15-22, and coupled that with the JoeBob Trigger adjustment grip screw. ~$100 for the pair.
