15-4 Value

Have gentleman wanting to trade me a 15-4 for a rifle I have on market. It is described as 98%(possibly unfired? heard that before) ,blue, 4", with matching box and magnas. What value would you put on it?

Am assuming no box, tools, papers. If so, and truly 98%, around here it woud go for $400-450. Slightly more if actually unfired since the factory. Hope this helps.

I have seen them, in that condition, sell for more than $450 here. My 15-3, with no box sold for $500. I had two and sold the really nice one because all I wanted was a shooter. This is the shooter. You wouldn't be able to get this one from me for $450, only because it shoots so well. The stocks are numbered to the gun.

Thanks guys, after further communication w/ owner; sounds like the gun may well be 98%(to be confirmed on inspection). Sounds like $450- 500 would be a fair trade allowance.

I agree with most of the others. I’d expect it to be priced $450 to $500 in the stores around me.

Thinking about pinned model 15 prices has me wondering if the 2” version goes for more. I haven’t seen one for sale in a long time. At the risk of being accused of thread high jacking, anyone care to opine?

I would not sell my 15-4 2" with box and tools for $500.00 !

Which rifle? In what condition?

Winchester Model 94, 30-30, scarce pre-crossbolt safety 24" barrel that was only made in 87-88. 98% condition.
I would not do an even trade.
