15-6 value

I found this 15-6 in a different pawn shop. Asking $379 but got them down to $300. SN K9227XX. Is it worth $300? Thanks for any assistance.

Actually, it says 15-3 on the tag, though that could be wrong. I stood on my head and read it.

I called and double checked - it is a 15-3. What is approximately value. does it change from -6 to -3? Sorry for the rookie mistakes.

At that SN, it is likely to be a 15-3. It doesn't have original grips, but at that price, it doesn't matter. Even $400 wouldn't be a terrible price these days. Hogues are just fine for shooting purposes.

The only thing different in a 15-3 is a relocated rear sight screw. The Model 15 is simply a Model 14 Masterpiece (K-38) with a 4" barrel. I think those are the ultimate K-frame S&Ws in .38 Special.
