Would anyone know if the 16-4 could be rechambered to 327 federal?
i would have to think long and hard before i converted a scarce 16-4 to a caliber thats available otherwise
My 16-4 only like a few thousands chambering a .327 round now. If done correctly I seriously doubt anyone could tell the difference. If it's going to be a shooter anyway who cares. If I wanted to take a chamber reamer and take out the final .030 I would do it and enjoy the benefits of a more capable round.I have a hunch in doing so it would greatly devaluate the model 16.
If that isn't a concern, go ahead and spend the money in doing so.
I'm sure if the 327 caliber has viable/sustainable life that Smith will be manufacturing some.
