I have a gentleman coming over to purchase a couple of my S&W. I have a 17-3,22 cal, SN 1K7651x 6" barrel, 3T"s original box, paperwork and tools. It may have never been fired. I"m trying to put a price on it. Any help would be great. Thanks

A good friend recently inherited this Model 17-3 (ca. 1968) as part of a nice collection when his father passed away. I helped him with some research and valuation, and I felt that his NIB revolver with original box and goodies was worth $1000-$1100. This is one of the revolvers that he has decided to keep for himself. Yours is a little newer (1971) than my buddy's, but even without seeing it I think it's worth $1K. Good luck with your negotiations and sale.

In the condition you describe ...possibly never fired with 3T's and original box ,paperwork and tools I would say right about the $1000 mark .

I'd say ask $1,100 and see if he bites. You still have a little room to drop a little but don't drop your pants on it as you have a very desirable revolver!
