17-4 date

Not sure if it belongs here or int he 82 on section.
Found another gem at the flea market - 17-4 in MINT condition, serial number 31K15XX; 6" pinned barrel

Also any idea on value? Gun is at 99% -there is the slightest evidence of a turn line - this gun, if shot, wasn't much -just looking for a good ballpark for insurance

It probably shipped 1978/1979 time frame. As for value, some one else should handle that. You must be going to one great flea market.

I picked this 17-4 up earlier this year, same shape as yours, for just south of $700 IIRC.

Edit to add: mine has a bit lower #, think it was a 77/78 ship date.

I saw this at the flea market and wasn't about to let it get away. Checked the prices on a few sites and it was priced below them; hoping to trade the now former owner her gun rug back for the original box, plus see what else she might have. Said her dad died and he had Colt and S&W boxes piled up on top of the safe..................now maybe if she has a nice 25-2...........
