17-4 price check

Looking too maybe sell my Smith Wesson 17-4,6 inch,no box,gun is very very good condition,I looked on Gunbroker and Gunsamerica and the cheapest one for sale on both sites is $795 with no box,this sounds a little high too me for a 22 revolver,so can someone tell me what a good sale price too ask for if I sell it here on the forum.

It all depends on condition, but gently used ones without a box I have seen bring around $700. In certain area's of the country maybe more.

I just recently bought a gently used 17-4 off GunBroker for $800. It was in the exact configuration I was looking for and wanted (pinned barrel, three T's, speed loader cutout on stocks).

K22 just purchased

Here is one I just purchased. A 1955 pre 17 for $500 on GB. Seller was a pawn shop so my guess was he didn't have much into it plus it had rubber grips but the revolver was golden and I jumped on the "Buy It Now" as it had just been listed.

Last July I picked up my 17-2 from G.B. (1964) "Buy it NOW" for $550. It is super nice, and shoots well. No box or anything. Of course "Goodyears" Money well spent! Bob

$700 sounds like a fair price for the buyer and seller. I see a lot sit around for $800 because sellers think they're rare.

I paid 875.00 ( 1968 mfgr ) for a 17-3, without the 3T's, but with box and docs. I think I overpaid a bit, but I was after condition. Barely visible drag line.
