Nice but it looks like a 617-4 to me. Ask me how I know....
It's stamped 17-4 on the frame.
Civil, will try to get pic. tomorrow. Is both of yours stamped 617-4?

Yes, both of mine are marked 617-4. I'm guessing yours is a mismarked 617-4 or the "6" is just lightly stamped. A 17-4 would be an older blued carbon steel 6 shot .22 without a full lug barrel and yours definitely is full lug, stainless steel, 10 shot, without the lock. Mismarked guns aren't that uncommon. Either way it's a fantastic gun and the 4" version you have is the one to own and you could sell it for almost twice what you paid for it today.
Civil, I've had another senior moment, started to take picture today and saw 617-4 on the frame. Please forgive me as this is the second post I've screwed up this week. Looking for a nut house to check myself into. Regards, Tedog

I know what you mean. I get numbers confused all the time. I have my phone number taped to the back of my phone because so many times I have given my old number to people instead of the new one. It really hit home the other day when I was posting something about my old model 10 and wrote model 60. They are kinda different and somebody called me on it. I'm going to just give them names instead of numbers. No, that won't work, my kids complain that I call them the wrong names. I think I'll go clean old Betsy now.

Hey, I like these kinda posts ,makes me feel normal, as these days I transpose everything or leave something off, have to check numbers 2-3 times just to be positive.
