17-6 Rear Sight

Picked up a nice 6 inch 17-6. Had a B Square scope mount on it. Rear sight did not come with it. Picked up replacements from Midway and one from Numrich that will not work. The front screw is not quite far enough out. Any helpful suggestions about where to find one?

Does the top strap milling have a rounded front edge to fit the sight leaf? If so it is a modern rear sight and the factory should have a replacement.

If the sight leaf has a squared off front edge, there were two locations for the hole for the screw; I think the later of the two versions moved it farther back so the hole was not above the forcing cone. If this is the issue you may be able to request a return or see if someone here can trade for the correct part.
