found this yesterday at a lgs. ser #376162 so should be 1959 if i can read a chart. some blue loss on the end of the bbl (sorry for the cut off) and scattered fine scratches here and there. some chatter rust spots on the top strap outside edge on the right side. both front and rear grip ribs show start of rust formation. grips show wear but no cracks but not numbered to the gun. mechanically very sound. overall very pleased to find a pretty nice gun of this vintage. at first i was worried it may have been reblued because the cylinder wasn't as rich and glossy but now looking at pics of other guns of this vintage it seems correct. when warm weather returns this will get shot a bit, looking forward to it.

It appears to have the "high horn" stocks which would technically wrong for this late of a revolver. Are they numbered to the gun? Sorry, I re read your post.Stocks are not correct. Nice find. Nice match for my M48-0. Big Larry

I have one with a serial number about 2000 away from yours. Its in very similar condition.
Mine makes me look like a better shooter than I am. It seems like I can't miss with that gun.

yes, bought it saturday. first time i had been in.

A little work on the rust spots and some quality gun oil and that gun is good to go for another 54 years. Good find.

Have bought several nice smiths from Scott. Would have bought that one but it didn't have the box. I like them with there original boxes.
