18-3 question

I saw an 18-3 today for sale in excellent condition, it has the target trigger and hammer. I have a 17-2 like this but never saw these options on a model 18. is this common or not? thanks..

I just picked up a TH/TT Model 18-3 not too long ago and have seen a few in my travels. For as many as I have seen, I can't imagine all were special orders but don't know for sure. Id be inclined to believe they did a certain percentage with target hammer and triggers although the vast majority are standard hammer and trigger. Based on the ones I've seen, id say about 10% have the target options.

My 18-3 has the stardard trigger and hammer and the trigger is grooved while my 18-4 has a smooth standard trigger.
