Hey all,

So I've been itching to take possession of a new 15-22. I live in CA (great weather, poor laws but that's another topic!) So I went online today to order said rifle and to my surprise found out the site I was going to order from no longer ships any firearms to CA. Odd to me but whatever. So in my search for somewhere else to purchase from I saw the 18" PC version of the 15-22. Now I haven't seen much about this version and was wondering if anyone has gotten their hands on it, seen it or heard anything about it. Just wondering if the $200 more that it costs is worth the extra 2" and the upgrades. Let me know what you think.

I will let you know and post some pictures when I pick mine up in the morning. Its been a long 10 days.

Forum member Hobie1 said he was going to post some definitive accuracy results for his PC soon.

I would consider a purchase if the PC's accuracy significantly outperformed the competition. Hopefully we'll start seeing some 50yd sandbag results posted here from members who are purchasing.

Greetings,

Well, I went to the range Saturday, but so did everybody else.:( I only got to shoot at 25yds and not very long at that. So far, the MOE seems to be just slightly less accurate than the PC using Wolfe match target but not much. I've got the target and will get the pic up. Not so surprisingly, at that range plain old CCI Blazer grouped just as tight.
So far, I'm really happy with my MOE and am just getting to know the PC. Is it worth $125 more? Not so far. I paid $475 w/t for the MOE and $600 w/t for the PC.
I will say as for now, I like the modded FCG feel better than the stock 2-stage match trigger on the PC but I don't near as many rounds through the PC as the MOE.
I hope to get the weather/wind to co-operate with me so I can go to the range after work but we've had gusty 20-30 mph winds and that doesn't work to well for accuracy comparisons.
I'll be back....
Hobie

Here's a couple of 50' targets using the MOE and PC.

Here's a couple of 50' targets using the MOE and PC.

Obviously the groupings are tighter with the Wolfe Match (as to be expected with match ammo. But it appears that the only real difference between the MOE and the PC in this example is the fact that the MOE wasn't sighted in as accurately as the PC. Knowing that isn't a gun issue, in this instance it can be concluded that the PC is no better at short distance than the MOE. I'd like to see how it does at longer distances.

Thank you for sharing.

True about sighting in, but rather than do that, all I was looking for was grouping consistency.
I went to the range over lunch hour today and I've concluded I need a much firmer rest set-up than I currently have to give as error-free report as possible. I want to eliminate my ol' shaky azz from the equation.
My computer's vid. card crapped out last Thursday and I'm operating off of VGA so I can't use my photo editing to reduce the size of the photos so they fit they format.
So far the MOE and PC are both good, not great at 50 yards, with the PC only slightly edging out the MOE for group size. I'm beginning to think that MOA at a 100yds might be asking a lot for either one. However, they are nice guns, just not Anschutz level.;)
