19-3 new addition

Hello everyone, I have a S&W 19-4 with a 2.5" barrel that I purchased over 20 years ago when I became a cop. I love that little gun, so in December when I was picking up a 1911 I had shipped to my local drug dealer I found a second one. I was priced right at $525 so I put some cash down on her. I picked her up yesterday and took a few pics of my twin girls... Now all I need is a New York release holster and some time at the range.

Your local "drug dealer" did you good and good price too! Great score! I remember how happy I was when I "scored" my first (and still only) Md 19. A big congrats to you

I feel ya Jack. I have a 19-2 I've had for 44 years,and it's still
one of my all time favorite handguns.Been shooting it so long it's like radar in my hands.Two beautiful twins you have there.

I got my blued 19-3 forty years ago next month. I would love to get a nickel one to match, but I do have a 66-1 2.5 inch that fills that silvery color role. My 19 was my long time off-duty gun for many years. Still an occasional carry gun, but my 642 sees almost constant duty now. If I could only have one gun, though, it would be the model 19. Seniority counts for something!

What a deal! They tend to be 2-300 more around here...if you see one. Every now and then a great deal pops up, like yours.

My first one was a 19-4, 2 1/2", blue, new in a box and one of my favorites.

Thanks guys, The model 19 is really a hidden gem. I have carried my 19 for so long I miss carrying it as a cop. Since my agency no longer allows us to carry revolvers on duty I have really missed this little gun. Now that I have two of them I may have to start taking both of them to the range for some exercise...lol
