I have a S&W model 19-3 w/ 2 1/2 " barrel.
Serial # 3K501xx.

It needed some work so took it to gunsmith who advised it needs some parts but they are no longer available from
Smith unless you send in the gun.

What I'm looking for is an ejector, hand, and hand pin.

Can somebody please direct me to where I may obtain
these parts? I can supply the part numbers.

Thanks

What I'm looking for is an ejector, hand, and hand pin.
The ejector itself (star)? That is a fit part. A new one would need to be fit.

The hand pin confuses me unless it's the two sticking out that go into the trigger. They are not separate parts. Unless it's floating but a 19-3 would not be.

Pardon my ignorance, but I can only relay what I was told by the gunsmith. According to him, per the Model 19-3
parts Diagram, these are the parts I need:

Diagram reference #9 - Ejector, part # 000000001
Diagram reference # 72 - Hand, part # 210640000
Diagram reference # 73 - Hand Pin, Part # 070110000

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

FYI - Although the hand pin was sold as a seperate part in the past, if you buy a new hand the pin will be attached to the hand, as a complete assy. New hand is $7.50 plus $3.00 shipping - total $10.50 Have std and oversize in stock. Thanks - Judge [email protected]

Judge, I am interested but will have to get back after I'm able to reach the gunsmith. Again, my knowledge is limited here
but with the new style hand/pin, will that work with the old
style cylinder? As I recall, that was part of the issue with
Smith Customer Service, who stated (I'm getting this second hand from my gunsmith) they no longer have parts compatible with the old clylinder so they would have to install new cylinder and that the gun would have to come to them to do it....
and for a lot of money. As far as the std and oversize, again I'm not sure. I do remember a video on Brownells in which they said they use an oversize hand for a replacement part.

The hands we stock are for the older S&W, going back to the beginning of production on the M19. Use std hand, unless oversize is really needed. Any questions, let me know. Thanks - Judge [email protected]

You might be able to get a used one from Gun Parts Corp. The problem is that it has been fitted to a gun different from yours. If you go this route you will also need an oversize hand then the ratchets can be cut to fit the new hand.
