I’ve owned this 19-3 2.5” for at least a decade. Picked it up at my LGS with the box and docs. I never paid attention but it turns out it must have been a PD gun. The numbers matching PC magnas are stamped “KPD” on the back. I’m assuming that’s for “Kendallville Police Department” as that’s a reasonably local PD. I’m planning on reaching out to them to see if they’d be willing to share any records on the revolver.

It’s in excellent shape and I’ve never shot it. My stainless guns tend to get to the range more often and I have a couple 66-1 snubs.

Here she is with my recently acquired 10-9 2 inch:

I believe the KPD stamped on back of grip is actually KRD for K(frame) RD(round butt)

Interesting. I’ve got several 19 and 66 snubs and haven’t seen this before. Thanks for the info.

The inside of the stocks are stamped KPD? Is it an ink stamp?

I agree with the K round. Could you post a pic of them?

Yes, it’s an ink stamp. I’ll snatch it back out of the safe tomorrow and get a picture.
