Sorry, but you still aren't getting it. The number you see on the side of the grip frame will match the one in the yoke, but it is not the serial number. It is an assembly or process number used during the manufacturing process.
The only number that matters is the one on the bottom of the grip frame. And it will have a K in it. Give us that number and we can confirm the approximate year of shipment.
And yes, the N on the side of the grip frame indicates original nickel. There should be an N on the rear face of the cylinder as well.
