OK, in all seriousness that may be the nicest Model 19 I have ever seen.
Have you applied a coat of Renaissance Wax to it? It looks like it.
What would you have to have for that gun if someone wanted it? I'd hold out for a G. $1000 would be my asking price.

That nickel Model 19-3 is very, very nice. The Goncalo Alves targets are beautiful and the metal finish appears to be perfect.
You didn't ask, but this gun probably shipped in 1973. That's a dandy!

Thanks. I don't plan on selling. I ordered some of the wax that will get here today. 19 is my favorite gun. I carried one 10 years.

This 19 of yours and my 19 are long lost brothers:

That is a fine nickel 19.

And I thought the 19-3 with box that I won on Sunday night was stunning. Oh boy! JR's picture of the gun in the box could win the S&W trophy for Model 19 of the Year 2014. Seriously stunning.
Will there be a range report? I don't think I'd want to carry it often but I might shoot it just so that I could post the obligatory shot of the gun laying across the target showing a nice tight grouping. Of course the true purpose would be to make us all drool and dribble over our keyboards.
And another thing fellows, I just looked at JR's old threads and discovered that he has two lovely nickel 19s. That is not fair to the rest of us! You just gotta sell one to us.
What do the rest of you fellows and ladies think? We should make this a poll. Should JR list one of his gorgeous nickel 19s on the Guns for Trade or Sale Forum?

When I first saw the thread and then the picture I mistakenly thought it was for sale. My first thoughts were how much money/credit do I have and how quick can I type "l'll take it". I don't have any yet but I absolutely love 4" barrel nickel plated .357s. Beautiful!

I've got an identical 19-4. Like this one, the S&W rollmark is on the left side, not the right. I've read that these were guns that were made for a special run, to be stamped on the right with an organizational crest or something, but weren't used for that purpose. Hence the unmarked sideplate. How common was this with the 19s?
