Hello all. I’ve been lurking for sometime but this is my first post. I recently came across a 6” blued 19-4 with box and paperwork that I am considering purchasing. My question is how common is it to see a 19-4 with the bright blue finish as well as the target hammer, trigger, and stocks. Are these features usually seen together? The gun has some slight bluing loss at the muzzle but is in otherwise excellent condition. I can pick this up for around 800. What’s your guys opinions. I do not currently have pictures of said firearm. Thank you much for your input.

That is a relatively common configuration, but a great one none the less. I would say without box and docs, that is on the higher side of what i would like to pay but still fair. -4s are still pinned and recessed. Hope you can get it and post pictures if you do. Good luck!

Welcome. Not uncommon. Look at the label on the box. In the box for the trigger it should indicate TT, in the hammer box on the label TH, and in the stock box T or possibly SL( speedloader targets ). Seeing them together is referred to as 3T. Check the forcing cone on the flat side for any cracks. If you like it buy it. 800 is not stealing it, but it is fair in today's market

If the configuration matches what is listed on the box, these days, $800 is a reasonable price for such a piece with box and docs.

That is a good price, look what they're selling for on GB.

Sounds like a good deal to me, and that’s a nice gun. I’ve got the same gun, LNIB (like a time capsule), and I would think it’s worth $1,200+.

In the condition you describe, you could shoot it without feeling bad about it, and still have a nice example. I’d snag that before it’s gone. Post some pictures once you get it...

Thank you all for your input. I will post pictures if I end up with it. This shop caters more towards the ar crown so nice revolvers tend to stick around a little longer.

I would jump on it.

I paid that for a 4" P&R 19 on GB earlier this year. I had refused to go higher on several similar 19 auctions. Most of them sold considerably higher with most in lesser condition.

I picked up a 19-4 last year from another forum member for $850 shipped. I got what I wanted and so did he. Mine is in good to excellent shape and shoots very good
