I recently acquired this 19-8 snub and am wondering about manufacture date?
The serial #: CCZ16**
Will give a full range report after a range session...
The trigger pull is SMOOOOTH and relatively light (I don't own a trigger pull gauge) and I likely need to insure that it isn't getting light primer strikes.
When I pulled the grips, it appears like the hammer spring may be an aftermarket? (will take pics when able, for your experienced eyes to help me)
Most of y'all likely are not fans of a "dash 8" variant, as the firing pin is internally mounted versus hammer mounted, but I've owned a couple K frames in the past, that had internally mounted firing pins, and had great luck.
This is not a collector piece, but will serve as a defensive carry gun when my 1911 is too bulky and my J-frame isn't required for "deep" concealment.
