Hello, I am a recent owner of a new 1911 E series full frame S&W.
I experienced a few issues and sent the gun in to S&W for service.
#1 hard to believe by this time that the issues of the breech face stamping a ridge in the brass bottoms still existed I sent mine in to have them relive the raised groove on the breech face. My question is, if you had this done by S&W service were you satisfied with how they repaired it, did it appear nicely smoothed out and as a factory finish?
#2 Does your external extractor fit perfectly flush in the slide along the flat area of the slide or does it protrude outwards. I am talking about the area of the slide that has the smooth flat polished finish, not the are where the scalloped patterning is?
Yes, I'm a bit of a perfectionist but I appreciate quality fit and finish work
Yes, and I do really love the way this gun looks and shoots!
Thanks
KW
