Why in the name of John Moses Browning would you be tempted to buy a SIG 1911? I would buy a Rock Island Armory 1911 before a SIG. RIAs shoot good and they have fantastic customer service.

Thanks. I'll check out Gunbroker. I am looking at the full size ss.

I love the alloy frame, and it came stock with tritium night sights. Ready to run only mod need is feeding ramp polishing after that it will eat any hp round. Even use it in uspsa matches. Love it and sure you will to.

Surprised to read you need a ramp polish...mine has no trouble with HP's!

I've had a couple of Sig Targets. The Sig has a better out of the box trigger and are fit a little tighter that the out of the box S&W's. Still, the Sig 1911's are just so butt ugly plain, I found it hard to aim with a paper bag over my head. I sold them both off and moved back to the SW1911's. No regrets.

not sure if the texture I removed when I polished the ramp would have caused an issue because I did it during the first cleaning. noticed it and did it in smooth. just not willing to chance it if I had to use it

fear the free

I have a 5" and the bobtail commander length. I like both but the commander sized bobtail with scandium frame is outstanding.

I have both as well. I like the 5" fine, but the commander is simply amazing. It kinda reminds me of the way the 39-2 is balanced and feels in the hand. Just with a little more boom....

S&W got this one right

I would love to see a 9 and 40 in the 1911sc line though I would like to have the availability of 10 round mags for matches

My wife bought me this one for Christmas and I have found it to be one of the finest 1911s I've ever owned. Anyone looking for a 1911 would do well considering an "E" series.

I just bought the E series 1911TA. Amazing gun! Looks great and shoots better. Very balanced in my hand. Two range trips over 200 rounds with 4 different types of ammo. No issues at all. Love it!
