1911 ... Which One Would You Buy?

The Wilson Combat would cost me an additional $2,600 plus that I plan to spend on other things.

If is going to be for range only can't do any better than the SA Range Officer, .45 or 9mm and the best deal so far around my area anyway are the Ruger 1911s and I don't like most Ruger firearms, eventually will pick up one of their 1911 before prices start going up, my favorite 1911 are Colts though.

After calling Springfield Armory the other day for a ILS key(PITA, IMHO. Will remove it when I get time!), the Rep I was talking to stated that SA now makes there frames here in the States, as in no longer buying IMBEL frames, or guns. Now whether or not they are still forged, I have no idea. I would say so, as they still advertise that.
If true, and I have no reason not to believe him, then Kudos to SA!
American gun ,made here in America. Hoo-Ah!

I would say a Rock Island or a Ruger SR1911. The Rock Island's are great guns with great customer service.

I've had Colt Commanders and the MkIV many years ago along with the 1991-A1. Currently the S&W 1911 and the Ruger SR1911 are the only two I have and will keep. Never a noblemen with FTF, FTE, no stove pipes, etc. You keep ones like that. Use good magazines you've tried many times and you have the best fighting pistol extant.

And, did I saw no other trigger system can touch a 1911?
