Well I'm 99.5% sold on a new Performance Center 1911 but would like to hear from those that have one if it will digest swc ammo reliably.

Well I guess I'm the only one shooting swc ammo so I'll reply to my own post.

I purchased the S&W 1911 PC #170343.

In my opinion S&W hit it out of the park with this handgun, it comes with 2 Wilson Combat 47D mags which are very reliable in everything I have used them in including this handgun. It did digest SWC ammo without even a hint of an issue, and it did this with the factory mags and aftermarket cheepo mags. The gun ran perfect, period!!!! And it shot great to boot.
My 2 cents is if you are on the fence about this handgun find one and bring it home, life's too short to wait, put a smile on your face today!!!!!!

SWC isn't all that much different in shape than a JHP and I've never had a problem with that so you should be good.

I just saw this thread and it appears you've since answered your own question but I will add that mine handles both Missouri Bullets' "Button" 185-grain SWC as well as Precision Delta's 185-grain SWC HP without any drama.

I haven't had any trouble with Pennbullets Match 200 SWC, but I have only a few hundred rounds through my PC1911.

Sure, I'll give it a good cleaning and post some pics later today.

Here's a couple of pics of the new PC 1911. I can't wait to get back to the range and dirty it up again.

I couldn't be happier with the 1911PC, It does digest everything it has been fed so far. The Wilson Combat 47D magazines may have something to do with this.

Accuracy has been better than I hoped for, I'm re-learning the 1911 so It's going to be awhile before I can even try to keep up with some at the range.
I've been shooting the Lyman 452460 and the H&G 68 with 231 @4.4 grains and 5.0, there is not a big difference between the two loads on paper, both are quite accurate.

S&W done good!!!
