Here's my M1917 Sn 54,1xx,all correct #'s. Finished by S&W in 1967(have ltr) hence the S&W logo, grips and "made in USA" info on right side
 
Wow, there are some sweet pieces in this thread! Maybe one day I'll run across an original, which aren't too common hereabouts. Until then, I'll have to make do with a hacked on version. Yes, I know, I need some grips.

Heres mine, The barrels been cut down (can you tell) to 3-1/2, was to have been 4" but the smith had a bunged up barrel and was able to save my orriginal. It's been re-blued and she's a beaut.

2nd try.....This is my S&W M1917. Sn # 54,179. It was factory refinished(have ltr) That's the reason for the S&W logo, marca registrada, on right side, and non-issue grips
