The stock on my 1917 ser.# 51xxx is stamped instead of being penciled in. The numbers are the same type and size that are on the underside of the barrel and on the cylinder. Anyone seen this before? Also, it is a all matching number revolver. Thanks

The ones I've seen have all been in pencil, but others here may have seen stamped stock numbers...
