This recently joined the family. 1917, serial in the 131,000 range. If I extrapolated correctly from Pate I'm guessing Nov 1918. Too late to get to France I suspect. Finish appears original. It's been shot, the bore shows evidence of corrosive ammo, but it doesn't look shot much. It has not been scrubbed like so many of these were. All markings are intact. $1250.

Had a Brazilian some time back. Quite rough, a reblue, but at the time that's all I could afford. Sent it packing in one of my purges and had been on the lookout for a better one for some time. Paid more than I wanted to but it's only money. My kids will just blow on things like food and shelter.

I think you're in the ballpark on the shipping date - #'s 127754, 136103, & 136720 shipped in October, November, & December of 1918 respectively.

You found a nice Model of 1917 in VG condition. I picked up mine a few years ago, and its s/n (132922) is close to yours...I figured Nov 1918. Even if they didn't see combat, they're still fine old warhorses! Mine goes to the range whenever I take my Model 25-2. Enjoy!
