I have a 1937 Brazilian S&W revolver, and I want to shoot Auto Rim ammo. I have some 230 grain FMJ bullets.
Lymans reloading book does not show a 230 gr. bullet for the Auto Rim, but it does for the 45 ACP. Can I use the Data from the ACP load for my Brazzi??? It shows 5.9 gr. of unique with the 230 fmj bullet.

I don't know about the load you mention BUT data can be interchanged from 45ACP to 45AR pretty easily. There are some older manuals that have 45AR data that would blow up most 1911s though so the data shouldn't be used the other way 'round.

Hope that makes sense!

I have a Brazillian too. I shoot auto rim loaded identically to regular .45ACP with no problem. 6.2 to 6.5 Unique under a 225 gr hard cast TC bullet. Works good for everything.

I use 6.0 grains of Unique and a 230 grain round nose cast lead bullet in both .45ACP and .45 Auto Rim. Works fine in both revolvers and automatics.
