1950's Patches?

I'm looking for any information on the <span class="ev_code_RED">patches</span> pictured below. They all came from the estate sale in Massachusetts. This fella had numerous rifle/ pistol club patches that he'd acquired in the early-mid 50's. I selected these as the most unique.
Any guidance/ comments would be appreciated.

Great patches, they just don't make them like that anymore, wool...cheesecloth backing...handsewn. If you like 60's-70's patches, please check my ad in the Classified section. Waistgunner

The United States Revolver Association is still operating.

They have a website: usra1.org

They sell a patch similar to the one you have but the current life member patch does not have the "life" in the center of the patch but has an attachment at the bottom (it's pictured on their site.)

Sorry - but that's the reason I bought the batch - I was hoping! (and because of the "Buffalo-Head" patch) - I've always got you in mind Chuck and particularly that "Award" gun!
Have you ever found an article about the Mid-Winter Match in American Rifleman or others?
I'll be at the Dallas Collector show this weekend have my eyes peeled for that elusive 29-1!
