1951 M&P Letter

My father purchased a pre Model 10 M&P in 1987 from a person in Springfield, MO. My father always said that this revolver had belonged to a Frisco Railroad Detective, which was believable, since Springfield was the headquarters for Frisco. The revolver did not have any railroad markings.

I've had the revolver for a few years now and decided to get a letter on it. As shown in the letter, it was shipped to Thomson-Diggs Co. in Sacramento, CA in March 1951. If someone from CA would comment and state that the Frisco RR used Thomson-Diggs as a source of police/security items, I sure would appreciate it. :)

...seems like a stretch since the Frisco never got anywhere near California...

What's ironic is that "Frisco" is the shortened version of their official name: St Louis & San Francisco. They had grand plans in the beginning.
