I had forgotten about this over the years.

I thought I would share it with everyone.

The markings are: X-60 1981 Bergamot Brass Works
w/ the S&W trademark logo and Made in U.S.A.

S&W buckles

Hi! Thanks for showing the handcuff buckle. I like the S&W buckles, but I had not seen one of those, yet. Is it Pewter, or stainless? If you have other oddballs, lots of us appreciate seeing them. Thanks again! Mikey

If you look closely you'll notice that the trademark logo is not S&W's, but is the Bergamot logo.

Thanks KO, I thought it was just my old eyes playing tricks on me.

This buckle is very heavy, I would say it has to be brass based, or stainless.

The box is long ago gone, but I got from a dealer when I purchased a brand new Model 67 in 1981.

As KO says, this buckle has nothing to do with S&W. It's a nice, well made buckle, made by Bergamot, who also happens to a S&W authorized buckle maker, but this design is not one that S&W authorized. These handcuff buckles, and other Bergamot buckles, show up on eBay all the time as S&W buckles, as the sellers confuse the Bergamot logo with the S&W logo. S&W authorized Bergamot buckles will say "Smith & Wesson" on the back of the buckle, with a Bergamot model number and sometimes a year date. Ed.
