A little overdue for showing off these, here is my 2nd set of Roper style stocks made by you know who. I didn't shoot a profile of them but they feature a Coke style palm swell for a better feel. The package was delivered literally as I was backing out of the driveway to go off on my moose hunt, and I never opened the box until after I was already a few days into moose camp. They are a perfect match in every spec to the grips he carved for my 1937 .357 magnum:

Geoff,
Beautiful grips! As we all have said, Keith is a true artist in wood! I just love to see his work. Thanks for posting.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: Functional art is almost too good to be true!

I'm envious....those are marvelous grips!

Terry, I bought my Outdoorsman to shoot, a lot, and the factory grips just don't fit. I don't own a 'Jet, but I'd bet as far as shooting goes, your Outdoorsman gets a lot more action than the other one.

To me its a no brainer as to which gun I'd put the grips on.

Geoff,
It may sound remarkable, but I put the grips on my Model 53 because I have a friend of mine who grew up shooting a 53 and loves them...I have every barrel length and he shoots the 8.7"...We shoot the 53's more than the Outdoorsman, PRECISELY WHY I put them on MY 53 to begin with. (my point of responding was that these grips LOOK more period and better on the .22) There are not a lot of us out there that shoot the 53's regularly, but I am far from the norm. I handload and have great accuracy and lots of fun with the BLAST at the range. When my buddy and I are side-by-side it is a veritable "light show"..
I trust you have seen this before....
