Looking forward to finding information about the different rear sight options for my A series model 41. I have a couple of older 5 1/2" barrels and a 7" barrel without sights and a like new 5" field barrel coming next week. I will probably pass one of the 5 1/2" barrels on to someone in need when I find the new 5" working well.
Being on the planet 62 years I have had the privledge to own numerous S&W handguns and a nice model 1000 super 12 shotgun. Currently I am down to the Model 41 and the Alaskan Backpacker .44 mag with the four magnaports and super 12 but have many fond memories like taking 3 Blue Grouse out of one tree with 3 shots out of a nice old 5 screw Model 14 with handloaded wadcutters.
