Took my new MOE 15-22 to the range this morning with good results.

125 rounds of Federal bulk from Walmart..... only one failure to fully eject at round 27(2nd generation mag). Last 20 rounds were as fast as I could get back on target (3" orange dot) at 25 yards without a hitch.

Sighted in at 50 yards with a Bushnell Trophy (1X32) with the T-Dot. The Dot covered my point of aim (2" orange target dot) at 50 yds; which was a bit of a problem. Last 2 three shot strings (off my shooting bag).... 4 shots into a 1/2 inch group; 5th shot opened it up to 1 inch; and the 6th opened it way up to 1 3/4 inches.

The Magpul MOE sights, with a XS Sight System AR-15 .1" white ramp added; at 25 yards had a 10 shot 1.5" group; with a popcicle hold on a 3" orange target dot. I had a focus issue with the front sight looking through the Bushnell Trophy tube(or maybe just my 57 year old eyes).

This could be a fun gun with this set up,with 50-75 yds of MO-skeet; but for precision shooting I think I will need a scope.

A good day was had by all.............

Couple of additional thoughts; I ran it pretty wet after cleaning it last night. Also I got a little suprise smoke out of the magwell....

Next trip I'll try some CCI stingers at 100yds on some B-27 silhouettes...the red dots are nice for old eyes but 2,3,4 MOA dots cover a lot of target even at 50yds. I've been doing a bit of shooting with the CCI stingers out of my Ruger 10-22 with the "williams fiber optic firesights at 100yds",I like the flat tragectory of the stingers even if it's not the most accurate round.

The price on the MOE also seemed good at $505 vs the $479 for the one with just a flashhider ( I think the 1st model was selling for about $440 when they first came out) .

Now for some 10 rd mags...

Picked up my M&P 15-22 today, shot 100 rds CCI
velocities and 50 rds Fiocci super match no problems whatsoever
love this little black gun !!

Now to buy some toys for it

Sounds great :)

sigh my bank acct will not be happy with me lol

On the contrary, when it comes to the 15-22, I always think your bank account WILL be happy with you! Because if you are spending time shooting that, you aren't shooting your 223s, or 308s.... ;)

ha ha that's a better take !!

I took my 15-22 to the range yesterday for the 3rd time in a week. I have put about 1000 rounds through using the Federal Bulk pack from Wally-Mart. I have only had 2, that's 2 FTE with these rounds and I'm thinking it was due in part to the magazines (blue follower, I have red-followers too and no issues with them) as they have been the same type for both FTE's. This gun is such a joy to shoot! I took my daughter twice to shoot it (she's 10) and she loves it too (she has no idea I got her her very own for B-day 11 next week). What's the saying "so easy a ...10-year-old can do it." I am impressed with its accuracy and ease of use and hope that the new rifle has no issues either.
