These 2.0's are rolling out fast! Just noticed that a M&P 2.0 in .45 has hit the S&W site.

Will be fun watching them show up here on the forum when people begin getting their hands on them.

My next pistol purchase will be a long slide 45 2.0 and a M&P bodyguard no laser. They'll match my shield 45 really well.
Then next up will be a M&P Sport 2 and Governor or 340pd, I'll have a nice family of S&W

Are the grip dimensions on the 45 frame the same as the 9 and 40?

No but it isn't that much larger, the 45 with a small back strap feels almost the same as the 9/40 with a medium. It doesn't feel like your grabbing a brick like a 45 Glock.

I'd be interested in seeing just how much has changed from the legacy M&P 45. There wasn't a whole lot wrong with them. My guess is they added the new internals to improve the trigger pull (aka: Shield 45) and probably went with the new thumb safety design, which looks to be cheaper to manufacture. Unless there are mega improvements, doubt I'll be changing from what I have.. They are pretty darn good.

I am all over this gun but I doubt we'll see it in Canada for a while. the 9mm and .40 models have just started showing up in stores.
