2.0 or First Gen to Agency Arms

I currently own a couple of M&P pistols (shield and 9mm) and am looking to add something different to my collection, I am wondering if it is worth buying a 2.0 and sending it off to Agency Arms or Salient, or should I just purchase an original M&P and send it off?

Any insight will help.

Why not shoot it first before sending it off and wasting money for whatever reason.

And I mean really shooting it, not just two boxes at a static range

Would this be a carry gun, range toy or safe queen? Both Agency and Salient do amazing work that is really mostly unnecessary.
