It changes the body lines enough to make it look awkward. It’s still not as ugly as the electric mustang
I agree, sort of like the XKE, a bit humpbacked. I don't think the 4-seater idea would have worked without putting a hatch back there. Total ruination of a Split-window 'Vette.
I had a 64 like that but different color. Beautiful car gals loved it but had some problems. Got the problems taken care of and someone offered me just too much for it! I also had the 63 SWC in 66 and I liked it...but liked the 62 better. The car I liked better than all the vettes was a 57 T Bird... Wasn't fast or anything and I wasn't a real Ford Guy...But what a pretty thing
Does anyone remember the two seater, 1969 AMX Javelin or its , AMX/3 brother?
I was a chevy man back then...........
The Corvette in any version has no appeal to me. Too hard to enter and exit, and now that we have had bigger dogs for 35 years, really a no go.

But it did happen, '71 Riviera. A hell of a lot bigger but same lines, big ol boat tail. Ok, might be a little stretch to go from a '63 Vet to a '71 Riv. but the Riv had style.

Coincidently, my best friend's father was the Engineer at GM given the task to design out the split window in the 63 Vette, it was deemed too dangerous. So technically, his father is famous for creating the iconic Vette?
Interesting.
But I'm glad it never happened.
