Yours is most likely a former Brink's gun. Those guns were barely shot and only carried by the vault staff not on the truck.

Bought one for my father to carry and I want it back. Best double action (they were DAO only) trigger on a S&W I've ever shot...

I know it's a Brinks gun, according to S&W these were made especially for Brinks. It's a great shooter and yes it is factory DAO and the grooved back strap was only done on the -4.
