Was at Rural King last week and saw a 2 tone Shield 9mm in the case. Surprisingly priced at $309. Slide was brushed SS. Has anybody seen these? I was tempted to pick it up, considering the price :D

I haven't seen that model. I like the 2 tones, anything but all black.
I stayed away from Glock for many years, just didn't like the fat grip.
But I just got one of these, a G48, "Slimline Series".
A bit wider than a single stack, but much narrower than a double stack.

Not as small as a Shield, but a lot easier to shoot well, with full length grip and 4.2" barrel. Only weighs a pound empty, and 25 oz. with a 15 round mag.
Yes, I said 15 rounds. Standard Glock mag is 10 round, but the SA 15 mag holds 15 flush (shown in the gun) The mag to the side is an SA15 with +5 extension, so 20+1 in a gun that is .87" wide and light as a feather. Sights are Ameriglo Bold.

I made my own two tone Shield last year, FDE Cerakote:

And for my other Shield, a .45, I went all FDE:

Yes, most likely not stainless but Cerakote on that Shield.
If it helps, it is stainless down under the finish !

I've heard many refer to the two tone Glocks, the 48 and 43x as having a brushed stainless slide, but that's not the case.
It's actually an nPVD finish on the slide.
It does look like stainless, and I guess it;s just easier to call it stainless.

They are a limited edition and they were only the 1.0.
If I was you I would buy it because once they run out you'll have to buy used or pay double for a new one on sites like gunbroker.
I ordered one online for $329.00 but 2 days later they emailed and said they were out of stock and wouldn't be getting anymore.

It is "Satin Aluminum Cerakote" but it isn't aftermarket. It was done from the factory and will be tougher that aftermarket.
