I searched the forum the web and came up empty. I'm hoping someone with knowledge of current prices can help me.
I have some original new unused s&w factory 20 rd magazines for the 59 series 9mm pistols. these mags have the flat metal base plate.
I believe that they are long discontinued, I searched the s&w website and couldn't find any for sale there.

my question is what is the present day value of these mags?

thanks for any help ;)

Greg Cote has Mec-Gar mags for $25.95. I have bought quite a few for my Kel-Tec 9mm in S&W mags. The also shoot very well in al my 59XX guns.

S&W 5900 Series 910, 915 & Marlin Camp 9 20 RD 9mm MGSW5920B
$25.95

S&W 59 Series 915 and Camp Marlin 9mm 20 round extended Mec-Gar magazine with a blued finish.

The Marlin Camp 9 accepts S&W Model 59 and 69 style magazines. Mec-Gar S&W Model 59 Series 10, 15, 17 and 20 round capacity magazines are great magazines for the Marlin Camp 9. However they all protrude past the magwell.

jj thanks but I have zero interest in mecgar mags or their pricing, I'm trying to find pricing on smith factory 20rd mags.

does anyone have info or current links to those mags?

I'm pretty sure I saw one on gunbroker in the last year and the seller wanted 150 and I have no idea if it sold. I just remember thinking to myself why would s&w make that mag. Unless it was for some type of 59 full auto.

With the excellent MecGar 20rd mags readily available, you'll find more people will have experience with those instead of the old S&W factory mags. It's not like S&W has really pushed them lately (or in the last decade).

As I understand it, MecGar made Smith & Wesson magazines for the 9mm automatics, thus the 20-round magazines from MecGar are the same as those marked "Smith & Wesson." The market value is not the same, since the Smith & Wesson-marked magazines now have some collector value, and are harder to find.

The best price I have seen lately for an original SW 20rd mag was around $80 each (about two months ago).
