Can I legally ship a 20 round mag to NY state? I have some listed on here and have some interest from people in NY. I can't find anything that says its legal or not to ship it to someone there. I hae no idea if my mags are pre or post ban, so that doesn't help me at all. I think the high cap laws are BS anyway. Its not like they cant get high cap mags, just the manuf date has to be right. But at the same time i don't want to go down for something illegal, either. I work to hard to give my stuff to te government over some thing like this.

I think New York is a ban state, meaning any mags must have been manufactured before Sept. 94.

NYS Penal Law § 265.02(6) makes it a class D felony to possess "a large capacity ammunition feeding device," which is defined in Penal Law § 265.00(23) as "a magazine, belt, drum, feed strip, or similar device, manufactured after [September 13, 1994].

Yes, Gunslinger is right - our gun laws suck here in NY.

Unless its a pre-ban magazine, anything over 10 round capacity is illegal.
If you're not sure if it is pre-ban or not, DON'T ship it here. Not worth risking getting yourself in trouble.

Might look into the legality of shipping them disassembled as rebuild kits. Kalifornistan forbids transferring or importing 10+ round magazines, but a box of parts is legal. Looks like the NY laws are tougher though.

Decided to just send the check back to the buyer. Only way to keep my nose totally clean. Thanks for all the help.
