22 ammo in US question

Retail (when available online, mostly using "deal" sites) ~.05/.06 per round for non-cci

cci stuff (mini mags, ar tactical, etc) ~.08-.10 per round when available

It comes in spurts and then disappears for a while. But things do seem to be getting better lately. It is better for every single calibur except 22LR

If ALL of you guys would just back off for a month or so ammo prices would return to normal. The only caliber that's in "Short Supply" is 22 and that's primarily due to hoarders. I haven't bought 1 friggin round of 22 since the idiocy started and don't intend to do so.
We/You are our own worst enemy.

It's called being prepared. We(the forum people here) are not the problem. We get what we get when we can. I see alot of flippers around where I live. The same guys all the time buying all the .22 all over town. There is and Academy, Bass pro, and several walmarts withing 40 miles of where I live. Sometimes I wont be looking for ammo and just go into these stores to shop and see the same flippers. I'm an early bird, so I do all of my shopping and shooting in the morning. If I need targets or something ill see the same guys all the time. I have helped a fellow shooter at my gun club shopping at Academy get more 22. I was there to buy boots and saw they had a good shipment of 22. I helped him get more 22 because I know he doesn't always have the luck of getting any 22. I could have been "That guy" and hoard it for myself, I don't do that. So either way you look at it, you see 22 buy it or the flippers/hoarders will. Even if you buy it to help out a fellow shooter .
