22 Handguns

I don't own any semi-auto 22's, but I'm a big fan of revolvers in that caliber. Picture are a Ruger Single-Six convertible (1958), a K-22 Outdoorsman (1939), an H&R "22 Special" (circa 1935) and a Colt Officers Model Special, 4th issue (1949). It's the top one in the photo with its .38 sibling. I also have a 1953 K-22 Combat Masterpiece and a 1966 model 17-2. They are all fun shooters.

.22 Revolvers

The only .22 wheel guns in my cabinet. My daughter's Rough Rider, My dad's K22 from 1950 with his Navy belt & Brauer Bros. holster, and the other Heritage fun gun. Those Heritage aren't exactly generational pass-downs, but I like the magnum option.
The K22 Masterpiece is still the most accurate gun, in my hands, that I own.

Model 17-2 (oldest and a bit cranky)
Model 18-4 (always a pleasure to shoot)
Model 41 (most accurate, WHEN fed the right diet)

All well used even before I got my hands on them.

Yeah, me too.
A single six.
Two Ruger semi autos, short and long barrel.
An S&W 6" 617 and a 3" 63.
That puts me with the revolvers leading 3 to 2, which is as it should be.

No pics at the moment, but here's my list of .22's I have:

1948 K-22
1971 model 61-2 Escort
1971 model 34-1, 2"
1985 model 41, 5.5"

I shoot .22s a lot. None of mine are close to new; I've had all of them a good while:
S&W 17 (70s)
S&W 18 (70s)
S&W 63 (70s)
S&W 41 (50s)
Colt Diamondback (2)
Colt Officers Model Match old version (2)
Colt Trooper old version (2)
Colt Conversion Unit on it's own frame
Colt Woodsman Match Target 2nd series
Browning Nomad
Ruger MK I 5 1/2" HB
Ruger MK II Gov't Model 6 7/8"

That's all or most of them. I use CCI Standard Velocity in everything.

I love a .22 handgun. Only own two, a S&W 17-3 K22 (early "-3" as per letter, but actually marked "-2"). Was a 17th bday gift from my father, and a Ruger Mark IV Target, absolutely love them both.

Never thought of myself as a .22 accumulator until you folks made me count them. Rugers in the MkI, Mk2, and Mk4 varieties. Also a Model 41. Then there's the Single Six and Colt Buntline. A little Beretta in .22 short along with a K22 Masterpiece, a Model 17-6 and two ten shot 617s. How did this happen?

I have several. Pair of H&R 904s with six inch barrels. Pair of Single Sixes combos with five and one half inch barrels. An early Taurus 94, first year w/9 rounds, with four inch barrel. A FIE model E 15 single action with a four and one half inch barrel. Grandsons love the H&Rs…Will be theirs some day. I'm most accurate with the Taurus. That FIE is the Buffalo Scout model and is a fun plinker, nothing fancy for sure. Probably shot these more in the last 14 months than I have in the last ten years…after that last 22 shortage I really stocked up on ammo. No such thing as too much 22s…ammo or revolvers!
