the 2400 load is hot. do you have to pound the empties out of the cylinder? personally i quit using hot loads in jets years ago. my normal play load is with hs-6 at starting loads. good enough for cans at 100yds all day long. easier on the ears and lots easier on the guns.
Good general advice from Perazzi, IMHO. The slower powders in the Jet (M53) never produced consistent accuracy when I tried them.
The bullets mentioned have always been a disappointment too. About anything I have tried works better.

Sometimes I have punch one or two but have wondered if the load was too hot...no obvious pressure sizes ...my groups are four inches at 100 yards with a 2 x Leupold. I have always thought I could do better especially from a sandbagged rest. Model29since14 what powders would you recommend? Thanks Perrazi.

I would experiment with the medium rate powders. HS6 has been good for me, as have ones like Blue Dot and AA9, and a few others in that range.
SR4756 used to be very popular in the Jet. When I buy Jet handloads at a gun show I always pull them down. Most of the time, I will find SR4756, sometimes Nr. 2400 or 4227. I never shoot Jet handloads purchased at a show.
It is hard to find data for the newer powders, so I always hesitate to mention what I do with my Jet handloads because I cannot point anyone to an accepted source.
It is too bad your load with 2400 is "on the warm side" since 4-inches at 100 yards (if you can do that consistently, for 5 rounds) is pretty darned good in a Model 53. With the slower powders, I frequently get an extreme flyer which spoils what could be an otherwise decent group 5-shot group.
