Dear Smith and Wesson Forum, I have a .22 long rifle ammunition. will Federal brand .22 caliber long rifle 40 grain ammunition function in a s&w model 617 .22 caliber revolver? sincerely and respectfully mg357

May not be the most accurate in "your" gun but it will go bang and put holes in the thing you are pointing it at, if the sights are regulated for that ammo.
