.22 Outdoorsman

Hello,
I have what I believe is a .22 Outdoorsman. (I Might be wrong)I was wondering if anyone could tell me the age and a ball park value. My price guides seem to show a much higher value then what I'm seeing online. The serial number is 364369. The condition is excellent with a little wear on the end of the barrel. All matching and locks up tight with good timing. Thanks.

Not my specialty by any means but you have a 22/32 HFT in my opinion from the 20's

Yep. That's the much smaller I frame, not a K22 Outdoorsman. As stated above, it's a .22/32 Heavy Frame Target. Also known as the 'Bekeart Model' after the SF, CA dealer who first suggested the model and ordered them.
Yours is from the 1920s and looks to be in very good condition. I would expect at least $500-$600, maybe a little more.

As posted above you have a very nice.22/32 Heavy Frame Target. The # suggests shipped about mid 1922. Yours is from a window of production when:

• Prior to WW I, .22/32 Heavy Frame Target models were supplied with two screw extended target stocks as standard.

Above serial number ~258000 (right after WW I), the standard HFT stocks became Regulation Police stocks on a rebated grip frame, at first with deep dish gold plated brass medallions in the late 'teens. Checkered two-screw extension target stocks with gold plated brass medallions in 'dished' stock circle tops were optional until 1920 on I frames, w/o medallions after that.

By ~1920 Reg Police stocks on a rebated back strap rd butt grip frame became standard on 22/32 HFTs. And they were changed to rounded, convex stock circle stocks w/o medallions and rounded, convex stock circle target stocks w/o medallions became optional until 1923.

• Aug. 29, 1923 change order, replaced .22/32 HFT sq butt RP convex top stocks as standard on 22/32 HFTs.

I'm going to have to change my outlook on things----or hook up the other half of my brain---or do SOMETHING!

The only things that popped into my head were "not with those grips it isn't"----"not with that serial number it isn't" "and for damn sure not with where that number is it isn't"---"not with that ejector rod knob it isn't"---and not a single thought about what it was!!!

It's been a long, hard day!!
